The *Food for Thought* Truck book served as both a road trip diary and a process manual, chronicling a project that took O+A's creative team to unexpected places, all in the name of spreading the gospel of design.
This mobile lab on wheels ventured into towns like Bakersfield, California, where it spent several days reimagining the town's future. Through workshops and social gatherings, the project drew a small but passionate crowd of locals, eager to roll up their sleeves and transform their community. Together, they crafted benches, painted sidewalk murals, and dreamed up future possibilities like skate parks and open-air cinemas.
In every town they visited—whether it was Los Angeles, San Jose, or Fremont—the designers were met with curiosity, joy, and a spirit of collaboration.
