Paulina McFarland
Founder & Creative Director
Paulina is a trained fine artist, turned graphic designer with 18+ years of experience in publishing, branding and environmental design. Since receiving her MFA in design from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, she has worked for boutique brand agencies, interiors and architecture studios and a Fortune 500 software company.
Her strong storytelling skills and extensive strategy experience allow her to create humanistic narratives that connect people with brands. Throughout her career as a design lead, she has taken on complex identity systems; brand experiences in a build environment; designed textiles, books, founded and designed art publications and created dimensional art installations for workplace, healthcare, education and hospitality markets. She has worked with recognizable brands such as Google, McDonald's, Disney, YouTube, Oracle, Sony, Samsung, Microsoft, Johns Hopkins University and UCSF to name a few.
In her free time, she makes art zines, screen-prints, and illustrates for fun.

Nervy thrives with the support of trusted independent contractors who possess many skillsets and experience. We engage their expertise based on project needs and client budget. Our affiliates come from different career paths and include interior designers, architects, motion and web designers, type designers and experienced fabricators.
